HOW THIS BOOK CAME ABOUT

When Roe Weatherspoon wanted to tell her beloved cousin Margaret's story, they were supposed to work on it together. Unfortunately, with Margaret's passing in 2022, it seemed that this would not happen.

By chance, at the Newport Beach Film Festival, Roe attended a screening of PAPER FLOWERS and met screenwriter Mary Krell-Oishi.

Together, they were inspired to tell Margaret's story to the world.

FILLED WITH HOPE is the first book in a trilogy of Margaret's amazing life.

MARGARET AND MOTHER TERESA, the second book in the trilogy, tells the story of Margaret's time in India working side by side with Mother Teresa. At times funny, at times heartbreaking, Margaret's life in India will capture your heart and imagination.

Book three, A LIFE OF SERVICE explores Margaret's time in the Peace Corps, where she fought a Black Mamba, one of the world's most poisonous snakes, and lived to tell the story. After her time in Malawi, Margaret became involved in California politics, renewed her faith, and became a nun with Sisters for Christian Community and taught school
